Cyclic Performance of Prefabricated Shear Wall Connected to Columns by Rectangular Concrete-Filled Steel Tube Keys

A prefabricated frame–shear wall structure is a major in an assembled building. To find method of connecting shear and columns that can both reduce the amount wet work required maintain adequate stiffness, we propose to vertical frame using rectangular concrete-filled steel tube keys (RCFSTKs). Static tests cast-in-place without with RCFSTKs were conducted compare their seismic performance. The feasibility new was analyzed. Finite element models then set up determine if plain concrete blocks between could be removed identify influence different parameters on cyclic performance structure. results show use RCFSTK practical. Compared dimensionally similar wall–column construction, connected by has fuller hysteresis curve, better ductility, slightly higher energy dissipation, slower degradation stiffness bearing capacity. removal inter-key significantly reduces capacity initial stiffness. primarily influenced number RCFSTKs, thickness key wall, axial compression ratio, less effect from unit height, strength, grade RCFSTKs.
